Yesterday we had our first adventure! My kids have never washed a car before. Sure they have gone to a car wash and sat in a car while it was being washed but they have never personally washed a car. I pulled my car onto the sidewalk, grabbed some rags, a bit of soap, and the hose; I got the car wet. I shut off the hose to conserve water. The kids and I scrubbed my car which was extremely dirty.
By the time they were finished they were all pretty proud of the job that they had done. They enjoyed being able to play in the water while the car got rinsed off. Then they ran around outside to dry off. J said that she had her wish for her start of summer vacation. All she wanted to do on the first day of vacation was to play in the hose. She was able to do that and wash my car! The boys; well, they were just excited to be able to do something with the car.
